Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We spoke to him about his function in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) team and the methods in which he makes a distinction at Realtor.com. Here's what he said: Q. Tell us about your team. A. We own nine backend search services that are core to the business's success. One of the most crucial is the Search API, which powers results on the Search results page page. Our tech stack consists of Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We also work closely with the Machine Learning group to bring AI-driven functions to the consumer experience, such as search significance improvements and AI-powered search. We're a collective, friendly group that focuses on strong onboarding and constant assistance. New employee are directed through the ramp-up procedure until they're positive taking full ownership of their work. Each staff member is helpful to other staff member when facing difficulties. We value a culture where wins are popular openly, and problems are owned together. We likewise make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person parties, to keep friendship strong. Q. What's your biggest achievement so far at Realtor.com? A. I'm most happy with the professional development I've achieved because joining Realtor.com as a Software Application Engineer over 7.5 years ago. Throughout this journey, I've developed deep domain expertise, stayed current with developing market practices, and consistently dealt with modern-day innovations. My commitment to constant knowing and impact caused my promotion to Staff Software Engineer and my role as one of the team's technical leads. Most recently, I have actually taken on the duty of being individuals Leader for the team-an amazing next step that enables me to support others in their growth while continuing to drive technical direction. I take pride in the truth that my long period here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to progress technically and take on greater management Q. What should somebody seeking to join us in #Tech know? A.
